Factions

Vanguard, Syndicate or Archive: how each faction earns reputation, what its perks give and what a switch costs.

For experienced players 1 min read Numbers from Andromeda, read 17 October 2026, 21:19 UTC

You join one of three factions and earn its reputation by playing its way. Reputation buys perk levels, and the perks of your current faction count as permanent bonuses (How bonuses combine). Each perk level costs more than the last; the tables show the first and the last.

Vanguard: conquest

Vanguard earns reputation by winning attacks and moon destructions: the metal and crystal of the units the defenders lost (deuterium is not counted), shared evenly by the winning attackers. Attacks on inactive or vacationing players, on your own alliance or on your buddies earn nothing.

Switching

Your first choice is free. After that you can switch once every 30 days, counted from your choice or your last switch, for 50,000 dark matter. Every faction keeps its reputation and perk levels while you are away from it.

Questions

Do I lose my perks when I switch?

No. Every faction keeps its reputation and perk levels; they only stop counting until you switch back.

Is the first choice free?

Yes. Only a later switch costs dark matter, and it has to wait for the cooldown.
